Brisbane’s iconic The Tivoli has long been a home for unforgettable performances, but when it transforms into a wedding venue—it’s pure magic. I had the absolute pleasure of capturing [Couple's Names]’s incredible wedding day at this heritage-listed venue, and it was every bit as stylish, soulful, and unforgettable as you’d imagine.

The Venue: Moody, Vintage Glamour

Tucked away in Fortitude Valley, The Tivoli is one of Brisbane’s most unique wedding venues. With its art deco details, velvet curtains, exposed brick, and dramatic lighting—it offers a cinematic backdrop that’s unlike anything else in the city.

From a photographer’s perspective, The Tivoli is a dream. The ambient lighting, dramatic architecture, and layered textures add a timeless, theatrical vibe to every photo. Whether it’s the grandeur of the stage or the intimacy of the mezzanine, there are endless moments waiting to be captured.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place right under the soft glow of the vintage chandeliers, with the stage dressed in lush florals and moody uplighting. As Ken walked down the aisle, you could feel the history in the air—and the emotion in every face. It was intimate, heartfelt, and filled with laughter (and a few happy tears).

The Portraits

After the ceremony, we took a short stroll around the Valley for portraits. The urban textures, laneway murals, and golden hour light gave us a gritty-meets-glam contrast to the elegance of The Tivoli.

The Reception: A True Party

When night fell, the real party began. The Tivoli lit up with energy—live music, epic dance moves, and a room full of people celebrating love in full swing. One of the highlights was the couple’s first dance on the main stage, bathed in spotlights like true rockstars. It was such a fitting way to kick off a night full of magic.
